Having a full week ahead of you can feel daunting, but not for Sara Domville. Sara's professional passions center on sparking new business ventures, crafting game-changing partnerships, and as the CEO and publisher of Massachusetts-based Salty Days Media, she is leading the charge in publishing and multimedia innovation.

Things are just as busy on the personal front: Sara's energy knows no bounds—she's a whirlwind of family fun as she keeps up with her four sons and chases after her growing crew of three adorable grandchildren, all under two. As she says, life's never dull in her world, and she wouldn’t have it any other way!

WIth so much going on, you might think a restful weekend to recharge might be her favorite time of the week. In fact, the opposite is true: Monday mornings fill her cup. Ahead, find out what makes Sara tick in her work and home lives in our latest Day in Brief.

Uwila Warrior: What is your favorite day of the week?

Sara Domville: Monday is my favorite day because it marks the start of a week full of fresh opportunities. Even better, it's my special day with the little ones, filled with games and singing songs. And during their nap times, I get to dive into expanding my publishing business. With Our American Dream Cookbook launching on October 1st in collaboration with Brewing the American Dream, Boston Beer, and Samuel Adams, it's an exciting day for both work and play.

UW: How does the day start for you?

Sara: A typical morning for me starts bright and early—up by 5 a.m. and out the door, zipping through the Boston traffic to get to my son's house before the city fully wakes up. Once I arrive, it's all hands on deck with bottles and breakfast for the little ones. After that, it's a whirlwind of fun—visiting the chickens, bouncing on the trampoline, and playing nonstop. By late morning, it's nap time (for them, not me!), so I boot up the laptop and switch gears. I dive into emails, brainstorm TV ideas for Our American Dream Cookbook, keep an eye on PR buzz, and map out exciting new partnerships for 2025. It's a mix of baby giggles and entrepreneurship—my kind of morning!

UW: What about the afternoon?

Sara: Ah, the sweet three-hour nap window! Just enough time to shift into turbo mode and move my business forward. I connect with my freelance Salty Days Dream Team, put the final polish on the saltydays.com website (because that e-commerce store isn’t going to launch itself!), and hustle to wrap it all up before the month’s out. Then, the little ones wake, and it’s off for a countryside stroll, chatting with neighbors and friends while we enjoy snack time.

UW: What does a perfect evening for you look like?

Sara: In the evening, after driving home and catching up with my younger sons—and maybe grabbing dinner with my older boys and their amazing partners—I like to sneak in a quick beach walk with Rosie, the dog (if time’s on our side!). I might try out a new recipe from the cookbook or enjoy a round of cards with my son. Before the day wraps up, I’ll send voicemails to friends and family in Europe. Then, it's finally time to kick back, relax, and unwind with a good TV show or a great book!

UW: What habits or moments during the day give you strength?

Sara: I'm always brimming with energy and love the satisfaction of seeing a project through to completion. It brings me real joy to tackle tasks with everything I’ve got. I carefully plan my days to strike the perfect balance, making sure to prioritize family and friends. I work and partner with those I care about, and throughout my career, I've built meaningful partnerships that are both productive and enjoyable. I named my business Salty Days because a "salty day" is a day well spent—where stress fades away, the ocean’s vastness inspires, and ideas flow like the waves. I believe in making the most of every moment and living life to its fullest!

UW: How do you power down at night?

Sara: With the day's hustle behind me, it's time to relax. I might pop down to the beach to catch the sunset, meet friends for a dog walk, or catch up with my husband and sons. Whether it's watching a TV show, curling up with a good book, or enjoying a glass of something bubbly, I make sure to savor the moment.
